Les Bassoutos, ou vignt-trois années de séjour et d'observations au sud de l'Afrique
[Source - Ettore Morelli for FHYA, 2020: A digitised copy of the book published by the French missionary Eugène Casalis when back from his evangelical fieldwork in modern Lesotho. The book was published during the wars between Lesotho and the Republic of the Orange Free State and advocated for the independence of the Basotho of Moshoeshoe. The book is roughly divided into a narrative of the arrival of the missionaries and a ethnographical description of the Basotho. The book contains lithographies and a map, included in this digital copy.]
